We are thrilled to announce and congratulate 18 students from our Education Pathway and Educators Rising Program who attended the Illinois State Future Teachers Conference at Illinois State University in Bloomington, IL, on Friday, October 25, 2024.
Accompanied by our dedicated staff members—Sarah Valerio, Richard Posey, and Amy Bertoletti—these students engaged in a conference designed specifically for high school students considering a career in education. The event offers valuable insights into the
teaching profession, helping students understand the steps to becoming a teacher and what to expect as they transition into the classroom after graduation.
Since its inception in 2019, the conference has served nearly 2,500 students, making a
significant impact on future educators. Our students also had the unique opportunity to connect with Crete-Monee High School alumnus Joshua Muehlberg, Class of 2024, who is pursuing a Secondary Education degree at Illinois State University.
We commend our students for their commitment to exploring the teaching profession and look forward to seeing their future contributions to education!
